Dear Remy,

I hope you understand that I stay away

only for your sake and through no

choice of my own. It has nothing to do

with you and me and what we talked

about on your birthday. Sometimes we just

get swept up in things bigger than us and

it’s no one person’s fault. That said, this war

shows no sign of stopping. I think we should

end things between us.
